Best gas grill for the money?

I went from a $4,600 DCS built in to a $2,000 Sabre when we relocated to Texas... Sold a relatively new construction home when the wife got transferred and the built in grill had to stay... Guy who bought the house from us ended up with my outdoor kitchen.... Felt like I lost my best friend...

    Brewing-deployed to the Middle East

General Order #1 is a PITA..... I used Mr. Beer while in Iraq and Kuwait... I had too many limitations that prevented doing an actual brew.... Mr. Beer isn't the best, but it's better than Bud Light.... They appear to have a 5 gallon kit, which I don't think was available when I was in Iraq...

    Aeration equipment...which one and why?

The information they have listed on the aeration system explains the why you would be better off with the oxygenation system..... You'll never get above 8 ppm aerating... The down side is that aeration takes longer than oxygenation. Because the atmosphere is only about 20% oxygen, the diffusion...

A Handbook of Basic Brewing Calculations

Thanks for the reply.... I was hoping it would be a Brew Day Bible, if you will. I've got several of the "essential" books but I really didn't want to drop $50 on this one with out getting some feedback first. I have bought a couple that had good ratings off of Amazon only to be disappointed...

    Anyone work in the industry?

Most commercial Breweries posting job opportunities for a brewer are looking for Chemistry, Biology or Brewing Science related degrees + 2 years of experience. There are trade schools out there that offer training, usually 16 week courses (in the $10,000 range). They offer class room and on the...

First Brew IPA, no real hops aroma

60 minute boil with a 30% + evaporation/boil off rate? Looking for a Home Brew Guru to chime in here and correct me if I am wrong, but the words "excess thermal loading" keeps popping up in my head. Wouldn't that boil rate drive off a lot of the FWH attributes, along with some of the desired...
