What do you do with the water after it passes through the chiller? Let it run out on the ground/down the drain? Trying to figure out a use for it other than going to waste.

Just bottled this beer today and got a FG of 1.022. Is this in the normal range for the recipe? The abv is about 5.5% and I was expecting it to be a little higher. My OG was right on point at 1.064. The sample tasted pretty bland as well, although it was still pretty cold from cold crashing.

How do you guys normally go about doing this when using a carboy? A siphon seems difficult/messy for getting a small sample and a turkey baster isn't long enough to reach the beer without turning the carboy over.

Just got finished adding some hop pellets to my secondary and noticed the rubber stopper was loose. Tried pushing it down and it popped right back up. Doesn't seem to be making a very good seal. The beer has been in the secondary for a week. How big a deal is this? Also, I'm new to home brewing...
