Creating A Weldless BIAB Brew Stand For Cheap

Very Nice! At the beginning I was wondering why you purchased casters because the bed had some, but you put some NICE ones on there, good job. I have noticed that bed frames are made out of some HARD steel. Blade eater, drill bit killer hard, so the slow and lube advice is right on.

Hey, sorry we kept you there so late on Christmas Eve, The beers were excellent! Keep in touch. Perhaps you will end up brewing with hops from my farm this fall. I will send up a bottle of the fresh batch of ale brewed with with Wild Thing hops from the farm (feral hops from a nearby farmstead)...

Back atcha!: TWAS THE MORN AFTER CHRISTMAS 'Twas the morn after Christmas and all through the house My homebrew was missing, consumed by some louse The kegs in the reefer had been sucked dry with malice And small sooty footprints, they riddled my palace I checked in...

How does a Johnson or Ranco temp controller work?

One of my controllers I had to wire myself (Johnson). My analog controller has a plug that goes into the wall socket, then the fridge plugs into the back of that plug - cleaner looking but it sticks out of the wall further. The probe in a cup of water works well to eliminate short cycling...

    Help naming my rig

I usually tent towards Hollywood: BrewZilla, Brewinator, FermentinStein, Brewbarella, etc. You could stick with simple: BrewEd (get it, brew Ed?), Or twisted: Liva Killa 3000, Brewelzebub, Or Nerd Mode: C2H5OH, Illudium Q-36 E.S.M.,

    Fermentation closet.

I was just pulling your chain man, but here's the quote. I was searching hard for a typo or something to call you on, but honestly, I don't really want to see you in a Tutu.:) Just to contribute something actually useful to this thread: I have a concern about getting combustion air from the...

Ah HA! DevilsCreek, You said that AC units bring exterior air IN, they do not, they just recirculate the air already in the room! BRING ON THE TUTU!

    Leaf Holes and Soil Disturbance

And yes, insecticidal soap is a good low-impact solution for most critters, especially when their numbers are low.

    Leaf Holes and Soil Disturbance

It sounds like you have been infested with the rare night burrowing marsupial slug! All hope is lost! Seriously, the holes I have noticed in my yard are actually birds looking for bugs. Some of it is in a nearly perfect pattern, kinda weird til I figured it out. As far as the leaf holes, I...

    Harbor Freight Welder

Having also owned the $99 HFT welder, I would say save some bucks and get the $99 one instead. I had one for years and it was great! It's 110V so you can use it anywhere. I welded brew stuff, truck parts, built a trailer and a bunch of other projects with it for 4 years, then sold it for $95...

    Storing mixed StarSan in plastic.

+1 on distilled, it's the key. I'm unhinged, but I do a taste test on the spray bottle, if you used tap water, it will loose the acid taste and taste soapy. (taste it fresh so you have a baseline) DO NOT TASTE UNDILUTED STAR SAN! I have, thus the above mentioned drain bamage!

    Colored Carboy

Blue Beer? Is that when you get teased by beer but don't get to have any? Some of my carboys are blueish. it's a UV reaction in the glass. Store your clear one in the sun and it may also pick up the tint. The only ones I've seen it on are the 5's with the "grid" on the outside (not smooth)

    LPG hose sources

Propane burners put out more BTUs, in case that matters and you may have to re-jet. BUT I was thinking something similar and I know I have seen NG extension kits for BBQs at Lowes and Home Depot, back with all the BBQ stuff.
