Yeah I was soothing for a higher SG. Took your advise and dropped the temp some. Fermentation seems to be doing good at this point.

I was told at the gas shop the difference between med and weld gas was vacuuming of the tank. I guess if I have my own tank I'll know it's clean. May just do the Home Depot thing.

Looked into getting some medical grade O2 for aeration. All the gas stores in my area told me it was a no go, unless I have a prescription. I know that the non med grade tanks aren't vacuumed. So how are you guys that use O2 for aeration getting it. Just to add, I'm in TX.

Took that second reading tonight, still holding at 1.013. Racked into secondary and tasted the sample I took. It had a quite bitter finish. I'm thinking I'll go and pick up some Moose Drool for some comparison.

Using the NB Caribou Slobber as my first brew. I used the Wyeast Smack Pack. My OG was at 1.052, which seems to be spot on. My concern is after 6 days my fermentation seemed to be over with. It did have a fairly violent fermentation and was temp controlled @ 68. The instructions say 1-2 weeks so...
