    Connecticut Jock Box Rental?

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a Jockey Box for a fundraiser this weekend? I'm located in Norwalk, Connecticut but I'd be happy to drive as far as Branford...

DIY 7-Tap 3" Black Pipe Draft Tower

I think I uploaded drawings earlier in the thread that lay that out. I think the middle section is 10" and the ends are 9". I actually found the order form for all the pipe sections so let me know if that doesn't make sense and I'll scan and upload that. I totally fill growlers all the time...

Pressurized transfer from conical to keg rig

So never let it be said that I don't learn better by listening! Here's a follow-up video of my complete closed system transfer that incorporates some of the thoughts shared by others in this thread. I think this is the rocket-science I was looking for :) As you see, I'll come right out...

Burping Conical Fermenter w/CO2 During Dry Hopping

Sorry for attempting to embed a video right in my message before - that doesn't seem to work very well. Here's the version I uploaded to Youtube: https://youtu.be/p10mf8pDTaQ. It's a longer, more drawn out version of Punk Rock's excellent video above :):)

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Good brewday today. Got my winter Double IPA Rumble into the fermenter. Should be a kinder gentler Rumble this year at around 8%. Last year it got away from me and ended up at 9.2%. It was a delicious Pliny clone but dangerous.

    Measuring Dissolved Oxygen....

It seems you've changed up almost everything except your yeast regimen. Without doing any more head-scratching, I would second the suggestion to try using a liquid smack pak of Wyeast 1056 on your next brew. Use the Brewer's Friend Yeast pitch rate calculator and make a sufficiently large...

    True TDD-2 Kegerator remodel/touchup

Well good luck with that evap pan repair! re: insulation - I found cylinders of closed cell foam that were about 2" in diameter. I did a fair amount of cutting and gluing to make several pieces that fit nice and tight around everything. Hope these pics help but LMK if you have any questions. I...

    What's in your fermenter(s)?

11 gallons of NE Galactic IPA Tried a few new LODO things with this brew so I'm excited about it. Conditioned the grain before milling. Underlet the mash water Inverted the chloride to sulfate ratio Lowered the rate of boil This is a crazy business am I right?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Man, that's a lotta rye. That puppy must really have some zing to it. With those hops I'm thinking it's got a complex English aroma & flavor profile? What yeast?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Kegging my first NEIPA on Sunday, so of course I'm brewing another one with a significantly diffferent recipe tomorrow. I love these things but early tasting on the first version indicates a miss, so hopefully second times the charm. Maybe the first one will come into uts own with a few weeks...

    agitation while traveling

I have no opinion about what you SHOULD do - you're a big boy and will figure that out :D:D:D ...but what I can tell you is that your beer will finish lower than normal. I have two mini-fridges on wheels that I use for longer fermentations and conditioning and I have noticed that the one in...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I ordered the longer ones. About 22" high - directly from Arbor Fabrication. Free shipping. Awesome customer service. Really well made just like the other stuff I've purchased from them. These are the guys who make the ones sold at homebrewing.org anyway. These are in their first run with my...

    Tips Safety in Drinking Homebrew

Life is good. We enjoy a range of activities while drinking homebrew. This is inherently safe in most cases because most homebrewing activities can be easily and safely accomplished while drinking a few homebrews. The same is not true about some very specific homebrewing activities, and...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

So, with all the chatter about Conan, does anyone have a firm opinion about what the best source is for that yeast? I know there is "Vermont Ale" from The Yeast Bay. Then there's Omega's "Double IPA". Maybe there are others. What I've heard is that some sources may be inconsistent, some...

    Don't Do That.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I've read a significant portion pf the 1700+ posts on this thread and haven't seen this addressed... What is the reigning thinking on finishing this beer? I have 10G in primary right now. I was going to transfer to dry hopping kegs at about day 12. Let it sit on the second dry hops for 4-6...
