Inexpensive way to get into a 20lb CO2 tanks

Thanks for coming back and clearing everything up! Right now I have 2 big decisions to make. Decision #1) Siphon valve versus gas valve. I have a mini paintball tank that I use to carbonate beer and soda when needed (its portable too). If it get a siphon tank I could refill that and keep...

Inexpensive way to get into a 20lb CO2 tanks

So I had to expand my search parameters and I was able to find a few coke and pepsi branches. Both companies gave the same response: You have to have an account with use and they'll deliver to only businesses. I think it must be a regional thing, or maybe the people on the phone don't realize...

Inexpensive way to get into a 20lb CO2 tanks

Sorry to dig up a very old thread but how does one locate their local pepsi or coke distributor? I've been searching google and I can't seem to make any headway. In this thread most people just say they saw it driving by... -Frozen

    C02 Pressure Relief Valve

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm the most qualified person to answer your question but I know a few things that could assist you. By law (I think) all co2 tanks have a 3000 PSI PRV in case of excess pressure. The reason regulators have PRV is to protect the diaphragm from damage. In a regulator with a...

Before and After - I decided to clean my regulator!

Wow... I feel so dumb. I know that the high pressure side was left handed, I just never made the connection that I have to turn it the other way! Also, to add to that I didn't even read the production date. Who knows why the brass was discolored.

Before and After - I decided to clean my regulator!

I purchased a new regulator off ebay and when I got it I could tell it was brand new but that it had been sitting in a warehouse for many years. I used a product from my local hardware store (Brasso) and I think it did an excellent job (despite the smell). Before: After...

Help finding fitting for regulator (lLHT to RHT hex)

I recently purchased a Taprite 3740 regulator. I haven't received it yet but from my research I've discovered that the high pressure ports are left handed threads. I'm looking for a small pipe that is a hex (for tightening) that is left handed on one side and right handed on the other. The pipe...

How to get 1/4" Beer Line Onto 3/16" Barb :)

I'm not guaranteeing this will work, but you can dip the ends of the line into boiling water to heat up the tips. Then just do your best to force it onto the barb. Who know it might work.

[HELP] CO2 regulator acting weird, is it broken?

So I was able to take apart my regulator and I think I found the problem! I contacted the seller and got an immediate refund! I can't believe anyone would sell this as a "kegging / soda" regulator. Gross! Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced regulator for a reputable company?

[HELP] CO2 regulator acting weird, is it broken?

I was arriving to this conclusion myself yesterday. I watched a few instructional videos about how to open and repair regulators. I think I have a basic understanding of how the regulator should work and what to look for since its not working. The one thing that stoping me from doing it today...

[HELP] CO2 regulator acting weird, is it broken?

Thanks for the response! I have a gauge on my tank and also on my regulator for tank pressure. They both indicate that they tank is fine. Also I have to manually unscrew the regulator to release the pressure. I checked all the shutoffs and they were open at the time! The regulator was set at...

[HELP] CO2 regulator acting weird, is it broken?

Hi, I have a newish regulator which I've been using for about 2 or 3 weeks for carbonating soda. I set it up to the correct PSI and made sure it wasn't leaking and begin using it. It worked for about 3 weeks and now it won't output any gas. I know that the taking is filling up the regulator...

    Keeping / Recarbonating Soda

Hi Everyone! I like to purchase 2L bottles of my favorite soda (Coke Zero) since it is the most cost effective unit. The drawback is that unless you finish the bottle the same day the taste starts to deteriorate. So my idea was to build a DIY carbonation device and hopefully extend the taste...
