    Fermentation re-started after cold crash?

No I didn’t take a gravity reading. Figured after 15 days it was all good. Fridge is at 37. And no dry hop. Just moved it from my cabinet to the fridge. Maybe I jostled some yeast loose or something.

    Fermentation re-started after cold crash?

Brewed a Belgian blonde. It’s been done fermenting for 2-3 days so I stick it in the fridge to cold crash. After about 24 hours in the fridge it has started to ferment again. Airlock is bubbling and Krausen has started to reform on the top again. Never had this happen to me before where a beer...

Newbie here. Is this cider good

Ok cool. I didn't know there would be a difference. I knew that the preservatives might cause a problem that's why I snapped a picture of the label first. Thanks guys.

Hey never brewed a cider before, been brewing beer for 5 years now. Want to give it a whirl. Would this cider be fine?

    Raspberry ale + lemonade?

So I have a raspberry Blonde ale I've brewed 3-4 times before and it's always very good but this time I wanted to add something extra. So my thought was to brew a 4 gallon batch that is slightly higher in abv this time, around 7.5%, and then add about 1 gallon of lemonade to bring it back down...

    High alcohol "light beer"

So I had the idea to brew up a beer that would be high alcohol but also still light in flavor and aroma. Wanting it to be around 8%+ and somewhere around 20 ibu. Is there any beers or beer styles that fit this to get ideas from?

    Beers You Used To Drink

When I was younger I basically drank only 3 beers. Coors light, Guinness, and blue moon. Now I rarely drink Guinness or blue moon but I do have the occasional coors light or 10 when its a camping trip or large party.

How many people have you converted into homebrewers?

So far I'm at 3 people in my 4 years of brewing. 2 buddies and my dad all brew on their own now. How about you? How many people have you converted to the dark side of homebrewing?

    Top 10 Favorite Breweries

I don't think I have 10 favorites but I could narrow it down to 5 breweries that no matter what they produce it gets a 7-8 out of 10 for me 1. Odell's 2. Founders 3. Dogfish head 4. Revolution 5. Bells

    Favorite canned beers

Man these all are good ones but I gotta throw a vote in for anti-hero IPA by revolution.

Faster Brew Day Tips for a New Dad

What I do to make brew day at least seem shorter is do chores while brewing. I.e. Start mashing then mow the lawn in between. And whenever I get a second during the brewing I do other stuff, dishes, laundry, whatever. My wife loves it because I get stuff done around the house and I love it...

    New Homebrew club

My Homebrew club covers 1 bjcp style and its sub styles every month. The club president goes and gets 2-3 commercial examples of each and we all taste them and compare them. Good way to be able to try a bunch of different beers of a style to get new brewing ideas.

    So I won a "fast-ferment" what now?

So I won one of these fast fermenters at a Homebrew event. Never used one, never even heard of one. Anyone out there got any tips? https://www.thefastrack.ca/main/fastferment

Orange peel in a summer wheat

If it is fresh orange peels then use allot. I used the peel of 5 oranges in a beer and it was hard to pick out the orange flavor.

Is my keg infected with diacetyl?

I'm pretty positive it isn't my cleaning. I clean the lines and everything every batch. Could it be my yeast? Maybe too much yeast is causing this? The last 3 batches have all been +/- 5% abv and I've used washed yeast then made a starter out of it. All used white labs California ale yeast. Only...

Is my keg infected with diacetyl?

Fermentation temp is always 62 I have a controller for that. In like 50 batches I have not had any trouble until the last 3 batches that have went into this keg. And to clean the keg I take everything apart and wash it then spray with starsan. Then soak in baking soda mixture then another spray...

Is my keg infected with diacetyl?

Can this happen? I have two kegs and the one keg for the last three beers have all had this "butterscotch" taste to them. The other keg is fine. I know diacetyl is caused from the yeast but all my batches I pretty much brew the same. Use a starter, 2 week primary 1-2 week secondary/cold crash...

What style would you call this?

I would have to say amber ale.

    Honey addition gravity question

I wouldn't be concerned. It will just be a higher alcohol brew given that it ends at the same finishing gravity. 1.5 gallon batches are hard to judge. The few I have done never turn out perfect, numbers wise.

    Stone "delicious" IPA.

Kinda was a letdown. This beer gets really good reviews online, 97 on ratebeer and a 4 on untapped. But I somewhat disagree. It's not an awful IPA but it wasn't as good as online is making it seem. Tasted like a bitter Arnold Palmer to me. What do you guys think?
