why did my keg empty into the bottom of my keezer?

I know the title sounds like the beginning of a joke but it's true. I had 4 kegs hooked up and I hooked a 5th keg up and a week or two later I looked in the bottom of my keezer to find the 5th keg had completely emptied into the bottom. There was obviously a leak someplace bit just curious...

    Citra hops for American Wheat?

It was designed within style and I think it turned out very nice... I added some fresh orange peel and the Citra compliments it nicely If you are a hop head it doesn't have enough but if you are going good for the style guidelines... It's on the money... IMO Best of luck!

Awesome...thanks...once these posts get any higher than a couple pages I find it laborious to go through every page to find the needle in the hay stack. Thanks again...just hoping this beer clears up in a couple weeks

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

Thanks...quick question...did i add the extract correctly by just adding it, by itself, into the secondary prior to transfering the beer Thanks

    American Wheat primary fermentation question

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

    Great Wort Chiller

Very nice...that thing is a beast! :rockin: I do like my copper wire holding everything together but yours has got to be 100% rock solid...there is still a small amount of play in mine but night and day difference from not having the wire binding it together! I would love to see some other...

    Great Wort Chiller

No, I simply put the ic into the kettle and move it around a bit... Quick and easy and best of all easy to clean up, just a quick spray of the hose

    Great Wort Chiller

I originally thought the same thing and agreed with you about the separation but as you mentioned, if you simply move the chiller up and down gently it chills quick. I also have separated and locked the coils as one unit by weaving in between the coils copper wire. Just like you, I chilled to...

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

Thank you... Just so I can clear you would do the diacetyl rest roughly 3 weeks into the ferment (assuming I keep it at 52 degrees for three weeks?) Sorry... Again, a bit of a noobie when it comes to lager yeast

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

Brewed this today... I have never done a 90 minute boil and miscalculated the evaporation rate... Started with 7.34(ish) gallons, hoping for 5.5 after 90 Minutes... Ended up with 4.75 gallons. Subsequently I missed my target OG of 1.031 and it's at 1.035. Oh well, next time I will plan for more...

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

I am brewing this tomorrow... I am using Wyeast 2007...my first lager I was wondering what temp I need to get my wort in order to pitch the lager yeast... I will ferment at 52... Also, any idea how a starter made from Pilsen light dme will affect the overall flavor of the beer... It's only a...
