    Carbonation......over-carbonating

Just a quick question. This is how it goes, I have some beer ready to be chilled and drank. It has aged 2 weeks per usual in bottles to carbonate the brew. The problem is my fridge space can't fit all the brew right now (still have some from my last brew, gotta learn to space better, lol). Is it...

    Premium 2 row

Well, I've never strayed from the pre-packed kits the brew store puts together. I'm tired of following other recipes, I want to experiment with several different hops using the same extracts so I can learn what I like when it comes to hops. I have 10 lb of 2 row. I was thinking of taking a lb...

    Premium 2 row

Can I use this premium 2 row grain for partial extract or do I need some specialty grains to do that? I have some 2 row, I also have some extract, liquid and dry. I'd like to use up this 2 row, I don't have a mash tun so I thought I could do a partial. What do you guys think??

    Head and or Foam

Check this out, I made this beer. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f29/kinda-new-brew-385259/ So now it's ready(I think). I added sugar then bottled it. It's been in the bottles for 2 weeks now. This is what it looks like. I only put 2 in the fridge for testing. My question is this, I...

    1st Mead

Thank you, I would say I have, as you put, a fine dusting. It's hard to see unless you put your head near the floor. Cheers

    1st Mead

During the bulk aging process do you ever rack to another carboy? I ask because there is a small layer of sediment on the bottom of the carboy. If it's going to sit for months would it make sense to rack every once in awhile to get it off the sediment, perhaps it will improve flavor? Cheers

Partial Extract Brewer's Best English Bitter

I picked up a brewer's best english bitter kit. I also made a brewing video. Let me know what you think. I'm going to bottle my other beer tomorrow. I was thinking of making a video with that as well. I also have some mead, it's been bulk aging for a month or so. I think I'll...

    1st Mead

Thanks for the reply. A still sweet mead will do just fine. When I racked it I got a taste, it tasted of alcohol. I didn't taste much sweetness. Yeah, I'll let it go for a few months then bottle it. I'm in no hurry here. Cheers, BrewFace

    1st Mead

Hello, here is a quick rundown of what I have done. Smack the Wyeast sweet mead packet. Brought 3 gallons of water to 160 F. Added 15 pounds of clover honey. Held at 160F for 30 minutes. Added nutrient/energizer (DAP and food grade Urea) Cooled to 85 F. Pour in sanitized fermenter, add...

    Kinda New To Brew

Hello, I'm kinda new at this. I have done several cheap homebrew wines with regular yeast. I also have 5 gallons of beer under my belt. Another 5 gallons fermenting and 5 gallons of mead fermenting. My beers have been partial extracts. For my next brew I'm looking to go all grain. It seems...
