Are you going to try returning them? If your stuck with them, I could try growing a few and pay you for anything that takes.

I cant remember what they need off the start, but imagine they need attention for a while. What about starting them in pots and transplanting them?

    Oatmeal Stout Yooper's Oatmeal Stout

Besides these, I have three other batches on hand...but everyone raves about this oatmeal stout. I may have to make it my next batch. I did the Samuel Smith Oatmeal Clone and wait for the bottles to age. Hmmm...and my pics loading upside down is driving me nuts.

Tre, Just make sure the soil drains and doesn't retain water too much. You can mix sand into the soil for the area the rhizome is planted in to help drainage.

Keith, I was planning on planting a bunch of hops but didn't order in time. Let me know how many you have to sell. I have 14 acres so I have room for a few. For those asking, hops grow 20-25' tall each season then start over the next season from the ground, sometimes growning a foot a day. The...

I will be doing a vanilla creme ale and the Odell's easy street wheat beer this weekend. Going to split the wheat and make a citrus and a raspberry wheat in secondary.

    Caramel Apple Hard Cider

I may have to try a batch just to see what comes of it. As long as I can crush/press without investing in equipment. If it works out, I can make a whole lot of cider off of 65 trees for the price of yeast.

    Caramel Apple Hard Cider

I am looking at doing this recipe this fall from fresh apples. I have 65 apple trees on my property. Someone said I would have to know what type of apples I have because only certain varieties will produce a decent cider. Is this guy full of it or is there some truth to this?

Sounds like the 05 will be a good yeast to use while getting brewing techniques down. I'll give it a shot on the next brew!

Is the us-05 decent? For $3.30 each it would cut costs down.

I need to learn about yeast so I can stop buying it for each batch. That will be the next thing to find in my pile of brew books.
