    I do normally do a 2l starter. However this was a spur of the moment brew day so I just pitched the pack I had.

    So I brewed up a Pilsner recipe last week, my first lager, but it didn't go quite as planned. I chilled the wort down to 55F and then pitched my smack pack of yeast.     Overly vigorous fermentation

    If it was fermenting vigorously during that time I would say you are probably fine. I have had the same thing happen where air locks get blown out of carboys on occasion and have had no noticeable effects. Don't worry just taste it after primary and see if it tastes good.     Awesome write up. I am write behind you. I have been brewing for a year now and just started partial mash and an trying to get the equipment to go all grain, and kegging. I cannot drink enough beer to keep up with all the recipes I want to try. I need more friends with good taste in beer.
