    SanStar for 32oz spray

    1.5 ml, or just under 1/3 tsp. (I usually mix 1/4 tsp in about 29 oz of water).

    You were strikingly similar to my cousin. Anyhow, welcome to the board. My first brew, an Irish Stout, has been in the fermenter for a week. I've been patiently emptying out some bottles in the meantime. I'll have to stop into Alsip garden one day to check out their selection.

    And what lhbs do you go to? I'm from Crete. Closest I could figure is in Crown Point, but there's one in Homewood that I heard about. Not sure what they're selection is like. They might be more of a craft beer store that sells equipment.

    Moving a Carboy

    To build on the original question: I ferment in my basement but for sanitation and convenience reasons will rack to secondaries, bottle, etc in the kitchen. Any issues with moving the carbons up a few stairs before bottling, etc. And if not, should I at least let it resettle for a bit. And how long?
