    Back after four years

    Ok, I haven't brewed for a long time and I am dying for some mead. Any suggestions for a blackberry mead recipe? Oh and does yeast nutrient have a shelf life? Mine is about four years old.

    Wine secondary?

    This is my first attempt at wine we are using a coastal red wine kit how important is it to do a secondary? I don't usually do that with my beer and it comes out fine, this is my wife's first attempt art home brew I hope it runs out good :)

    Just botled my first batch

    I tasted it and its not bad does the taste change much after it sits a couple of weeks in the bottles with the priming sugar?

    Liquid yeast question

    I made a batch of brown ale today, and I let my wort cool to about eighty degrees, then put in my carboy and filled to get 5 gallons. Could I have lowered the temp too much to activate the liquid yeast?
