Help with my Citra IPA recipe

I switched out the galaxy for motueka hops because my LHBS doesn't have the galaxy and I'd think that motueka would be somewhat similar to the galaxy. Also, it'd fit the tropical theme.

Help with my Citra IPA recipe

Thanks for the comments. So, 21 days in primary and then 7 days in secondary for dry hopping... Then 14 days of priming or whenever the beer tastes good. Does that sound fine?

Help with my Citra IPA recipe

I'll take out the biscuit malt, 1 lb of DME and add 1 lb of sugar. I'm thinking about making this beer a bit tropical, which is why I was thinking about Citra. However, I'll probably add some other Hops in my hop additions. One of my criteria is good balance, but I have no idea how to do so as...

Help with my Citra IPA recipe

I'm not going to secondary my first batch because I don't think it's necessary. It's just a simple IPA recipe kit.

    Hello From California

Quick question, is a 20 quart stock pot enough for a partial boil? My stovetop is rated at 9000 BTU's and I've read that it'll be hard to get a rolling boil on them.

    Hello From California

Thanks! I usually get stressed pretty badly during school so I have to find myself a hobby or two and making beer seems interesting so I'm giving it a go.

    Hello From California

I am a new homebrewer curious about homebrewing. I just bought my first starter kit from morebeer. Morebeer is about 15 minutes away from my house. I don't have a lot of experience with drinking beer at all since I just turned 21. However, in the 2 weeks I've been 21, I found love drinking IPA's...
