    Brew Pal missing?!

I lost eleven recipes. All except one, which I brewed a month ago. This really sucks, as I didn't really have a backup - I was relying on the Icloud. Guess that wasn't the best plan.:(

Recapture CO2 once keg is empty

I tried a search, and maybe used the wrong terminology - found nothing. Once a soda keg has been emptied of beer, its full of CO2 gas at serving pressure. Is there a way to recapture that CO2, or is it just wasted? I have a three spigot setup, and I guess the individual regulators must have...

    Late harvest - brown hops

I have been too busy with work, and we have been in what I would say might be a drought here in Connecticut. I have a place in the yard where I grow Centennial and Cascade hops, 2nd year. They grew pretty well this year, but I haven't had been around to water or tend them. I was home this...

    Request for Induction Equipment Information

Will the bayou classic 1060 series work, or does it have to be the 1064 series? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VXD94A/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

Do u think stone is a top 5 brewery in the U.S.?

I would like more info too. I fish the east coast new england area recreationally. If Stone is anti-fishing, I will stop buying their beer.

Please help my wife get into Beer Camp!

Would your beer be the same one they have here on tap at the local pub? I had a SN belgian black IPA last night on tap and it was great!

    CT Group Grain Buy

Just signed up and ordered three bags of great western 2-row. This will be my first bulk purchase. I will be storing this in the basement - what is the best way to store grain in bulk?

Can anyone answer this question? I couldn't find anything in the FAQ

    3 keg fridge

I have been slowly taking over the basement fridge. I started with one keg, one tap and now have two kegs two taps. The wife has hardly noticed thanks to the kitchen remodel I did with a bigger fridge. So I want to do a three tap, three keg system in the basement fridge. I purchased a three...

    Hops for Connecticut?

Looking to grow some hops this season, and am looking for recommendations for what works in this area. I have good southern exposure, and plan to let them grow up the side of the house this first year. If that works I would look to expand with a trellis or pole system. Anybody grow hops in CT?

    biab keggle basket size???

I have done four biab keggle batches. I burned my viole bag on my last batch which had a little more than 15 pounds of grain. I can fix the bag, and am looking for a stainless collander to put in the keggle to keep the bag off the bottom. Brewing in CT in my garage in January and Febraury has...

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Nope. Didn't toss it. The sample I took for an OG reading tasted like beer with no detectable off flavors. Its not like nylon stays in liquid form at cold beer temps, and I think anything else will settle out in the trub layer if there is anything in there (the burned spot is a little bigger...

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Oh boy. Had the day off today and was looking forward to doing a BIAB batch of Stone Ruination. Things started off ok, but while raising the temp to 170 for mash out, I smelled something funny. Sure enough burned a big hole in my viole bag. What a mess. Scooped out and strained out maybe 7...

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Yes, I had a brewhouse efficiency of 68% on my last boil which was an Arrogant Bastard Clone with an OG of 1.066. Is it possible to get better efficiency with high gravity BIAB, or do you just need to beef up your quantities to compensate?

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Thanks, but my question is how soon does it become drinkable (good)? I think its been six weeks, but I don't want to start too early if letting it sit is better.

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Hello and thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. After ten plus years absence from brewing I got back into it last month and have done three BIAB batches. I started with an english brown ale, am drinking Biermuncher's Black Pearl Porter (wow that is good) and am fermenting a Stone...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

So how long is it recommended that you let this sit on the yeast cake before kegging or bottling? I am at just over a month, and getting anxious. I have noticed that it is clearing up quite a bit.
