    Tilt Hydrometer

    Just an update.. it parked after the first post reading 1.025 for over a week. Dead on to the Hydrometer after racking.. yeast I used wasn't expired as I thought in the first place.. over all real happy with the Tilt on the first batch.. lots of information to review..

    Per instructions it comes precalibrated, and shouldn't be done till battery change. So I didn't mess with that.It was dead on to refractomonter on the og. Bouncing between 1.027 and 1.026 now. Suggests yeast activity and there is still airlock activity, will move to a warmer place for now

    First batch using a Tilt Hydrometer... love all the data.. but with that extra data is bringing questions.. forgot the yeast on counter at brewshop.. had some safale05 in the fridge expired by a month so I double pitched. 5 gallon batch Og 1.069, been sitting at 1.027 for 1.5 days pushing 2...

    Seems like many are returning to home brewing....

    Moved away for work new home no longer has brew stores closer thy an four hours away...on to of that no friends or family to help empty the kegs... leaving a lot more beer to drink on my own, can't move it near fast enough to keep the supply chain flowing new hire is into stout, and guy I hired...

    Talk to your propane company or its competitors. Most do onsite hose assembly or can at least order the custom hose

    Using coffee to fix under hopped porter

    I Brewed a porter a couple of weeks ago. I set the recipe up in beer smith phone app. All the numbers looked good on the app. Brewed the beer and went to plug the numbers into my computer, the recipe I used came out to 16IBUs. I missed some setting in the app.. I have a batch of coffee...

    My idea for serving my beer at upcoming party and a wedding

    Im trying to get this done in time for a st. Pattys day party. Fits 3 cornys in it with room to spare for co2 bottle.     The manifolds may be designed for low pressure cookers..might leak if your planning to run at 10 p.s.i.. those are both 10 p.s.i burners..

    Sorry got fat fingered there...grab the nipple as close to the valve as you can..if you damage the threads in the center of the nipple it will still be reusable...or get a i.d. "pipe wrench" ratchet attachment..

    I had the same issue with cooling post boil...no spigot in the kitchen...i bought a small pond pump from HD and set up the pump outlet with a male garden hose connection set it in an ice bath in the sink..

    Another 1st time kegging question..

    I getting all set up for kegging...if i want to force carb "set it and forget it" at 11-12 p.s.i. am i going to need to leave the keg hooked up to the co2 for the duration of the carbonation period? (new regulator doesnt lock up so i am hoping to just apply gas till i get up to serving pressure...

    Old Malt Extract

    My coworker quit brewing and gave me his old equipment in the mix was 4 gallons of this malt extract..its old,looks smells and tastes like molasses, has kind of a sharp after taste...should i brew it or dump it?
