    Edwort's Haus pale ale grain substitue

    I milled my grain today for a 10 gallon batch of Ed's pale ale that I'm brewing on sunday. I bought a bunch of different grains the other day but I forgot to get vienna malt. I milled munich in it's place for the recipe. How will this affect the flavor profile of the beer?

    need help fast!!

    I just f-up bigtime. Doing my first 10 gallon batch. My damn bucket that I was collecting first runnings in fell over, lost about 3 gallons. Can somebody tell how much dme to add to get my numbers right. I guess I need to know how much dme for each point of sg. Thanks!

    Thanks EDWort!!!

    Just put my first batch of apfelwein in the keg for aging, took a little taste when I did my gravity reading. It taste awesome! Wish I had taken everyone's advice and started a second batch right away, but I will get one started in the next couple of days. SWMBO is going to love this stuff!

    help with IBUs please

    I want to do an american pale ale. I just bought some Kona Firerock pale ale and liked the flavor but would like to back off on the hops a little. Does anyone know the approximate ibus of kona pale ale? I checked their site but there was no info on malts or hops. Thanks!

    Vanilla bourbon porter

    I've got Denny Conn's vanilla bourbon porter in the fermenter now. I'm trying to decide if I'm gonna use bourbon or not. What kind of flavor does this add? And how much to use in a 6gallon batch?

    keg conditioning?

    I just got my first corny keg. Filled it with a blonde ale, primed with 8 tablespoons of dme, hit it with co2 to seal the lid, place it in a closet @ 68F for three weeks and put it in the fridge.     A good friend of mine requested a high alcohol batch as a Christmas gift. He usually doesn't drink the most flavorful beers, in fact the most he's strayed from Bud is Yuengling. Any ideas on something with some kick that he'll still enjoy the taste of? I need an extract recipe . Thanks

    I'm thinking about trying the Magic Hat #9 clone from the book "Clone Brews". Has anyone tried this recipe? If you have, are there any adjustments you would make? I love Magic Hat and want to come as close as possible to the real thing. Thanks, Mike
