    Random Picture Thread

Looks like it's receding now but there were quite a few closed roads & streets from localized flooding. Most of that was between 6 last night and 6 this morning. I got another 0.6" today to make it an even 5".

    Lacto Shelf Life

I did check with White Labs and they emailed me a copy of the report with a 1-21 date on it. The online public report definitely is showing me 3-21; must be a bug (no pun intended).

    Lacto Shelf Life

Jumping on to the end of this older thread since it was the first hit on my search... I'm planning on brewing a Berliner Weisse style beer (Kottbusser) next month sometime, so ordered some Lacto delbrueckii, as per the recipe I'm going to use. I get 90% of my supplies & ingredients online from...

Adventures in Homebrewing is where I now order almost all of my ingredients and equipment from. They have a really good selection and shipping is fast. I'm close enough that my orders arrive the day after they ship them and they typically have my order out within 12-24 hours of placing it.

“Bier! Der Film” - German country style brewing, blew my mind

This is a really fascinating video! Here's an English translation of the intro from the actual Youtube page: "A guide to brewing beer (brewing beer at home). And not 20 liters with expensive equipment, but 500 liters with the simplest means over an open fire in the garden! There is no beer...

    Kentucky Common Yeast

I brewed 4.5 gallons of Kentucky Common on the first of the month (OG 1.051), split it into thirds, and pitched the splits with WLP001 California ale, WLP080 Cream ale, and WLP810 San Fran lager. Fermented at 62-63F. I thieved some samples a few days ago; the refractometer corrected gravities...

Anyone have Columbus Brewing IPA clone?

I've had most of them at one time or another. All very good... Columbus Brewing makes some really solid brews. They have displaced Great Lakes as my favorite Ohio beer to take home from the grocery store.

WLP835 German Lager X is in Production

Just received my WLP835 in the mail today. I haven't used it previously but I'm going to overbuild a starter to save some for later and use the bulk of it on Gavin's Majestic Munich Dunkel: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/gavins-majestic-munich-dunkel.565768/= I brewed this one a year...

How common is it to find bugs in your grain?

I buy most of my ingredients online from Adventures in Homebrewing since it is close regionally and they have a great product selection, but I also am making an effort to shop local when I can. Unfortunately my LHBS doesn't have the variety of supplies & ingredients that I can get online. The...
