For those who use the propane/gas BE, has anyone encountered issues with the ignition continuing to cycle after the burner fires on? What happens to me is I will flip the switch on the tower of power (to either on or auto), the ignition will go on (igniter sparks repeatedly) the solenoid opens...

Hooking up Homebrew at a bar/pub

My local bar/pub offered to hook up one of my homebrew ball lock kegs for a private party for friends. Does anyone know how to connect a corny ball lock to a sanke bar system without cutting their lines to make new connections? Is there something I can build to simply hook up to their gas and...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Great thread. Thank you Braufessor! I'm about to brew my first NEIPA tomorrow. I have a SS Brewtech Conical as a fermenter. My question revolves around the 2 step dry hop process. I'll add the first dry hop addition at day 4-6 as primary fermentation dies down. No problem. After that dry hop...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

Just wanted to update a prior post that I made about IPAs. I just brewed a couple IPAs and fermented in the chronical and the first one came out fantastic...great hop aroma and bitterness. :rockin: second one is still in the chronical will be kegging this weekend. Fired up to try that one...

All, Great Fermenations is putting together a quick disconnect kit for the Brew Easy. I spoke with Bryan at GF yesterday and they're in the process of getting this on the site for easy ordering. However, they can still place the order if you don't want to wait for it to be formally posted...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

Thank you PhilipCT. That's what I did this week. I just purged with a ton of CO2 after dropping in the dry hop. I'll report back after we keg it up and carbonate. Cheers!

Stouterson, What exactly did you buy? How many of each in order to cover it all? I've been wanting to make is upgrade for a while now but haven't been able to determine which quick disconnects are best. Cheers!

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

Do you all purge the chronical with CO2 when dry hopping? I recently purchased the newer lid with the dry hop lid and triclamp. It's a pretty sweet device. Curious as to how you all determine when the headspace, which is rather large in the 14 gal chronical when you've got 10 gallons in there...

I brewed this weekend and had an issue with the ToP (tower of power) and think it may be related to the solenoid but curious as to whether anyone has had this issue and thoughts, suggestions, etc. So, the mash was 100% normal, ToP was set to Auto @ 160 degrees and shut the gas off and on as...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

I own two 14 gallon chronicals and have fermented 4 brews in them thus far. Two of the beers were aggressively hopped IPAs. Neither one of them popped with hops and were lacking in the aroma/nose. I'm suspecting oxidation. I'm suspicious of the pressure valve (apparently there for pressurized...

NICE! Yeah a ton of their fermenters are on back order. I was contemplating buying a second fermenter last week and saw their stuff isn't shipping until this week, due to back log. Thank you Danam404 for flying in more SS Brewtech gear for us stateside. :rockin: Got myself a SS Brewtech 14...

Out of curiosity for those of you who have the therminator/plate chiller and march pump set up, how often are you taking the pump apart and cleaning it. I've recently lost a couple batches to wild yeast infection in secondary (primary came out looking and smelling great) but was musing today...

Great video Danam404! Thank you for creating and posting. I ordered a ph meter (it's on back order) and hoping that along with learning more about brewing salts will help my efficiency issues. Again, awesome video great info in there thank you!!!
