    has anyone noticed?

This is the first time I've ever discussed this subject among anyone, but I never get hangovers either, EVER. I'm French, Scottish and Irish, so go figure. A few times I should have but didn't: Anyone drink Orloff Vodka? 10 bucks a gallon. Drank a fifth, a sixer of guinness stout, and a few...

    Does this exist?

Oh, the irony. That's what I started with!! A friend gave me one and I bought two more. Made a small batch of wine with one, and apfelwein with the other.

Who would you rather see die?

Try the kitchen counter, its more fun. But seriously, back to the point. You're missing one additional choice: () All the above, especially the first nine.

    My son's 2007 Youth Hunt

Nice dog, I mean doe. I'm from Maine and our deer are a lot bigger up here- plus we have do get our doe permit through a lottery and that takes our one and only tag. But congrats! I've been three years without shooting a deer and I'm really craving some mincemeat... BTW, I have had a full...

    Taste testing

Just needed some opinions on taste testing. Made a batch of apfelwein in a brew bucket. I removed the airlock inserted my sterilized tube and siphoned out enough for a gravity test and a rocks glass full for tasting, sterilized my airlock and put it back in. Some recent reading on other sites...

    oops... potassium sorbate question

I had my bro pick up some cider on his way home from work a few days ago, prepped my fermenter and pitched the yeast, hooray for cider... Today (four days later) as I was throwing out the jugs and noticed that the cider contained potassium sorbate. My question is should I dump the bucket...

Irish Stout Ode To Arthur, Irish Stout (Guinness Clone)

Guinness and Killian's Red are my all time favorite beers (sticking with my heritage I guess) , so thanks for posting. Two questions though- You said a buttload of starter but didn't specify- how big of a batch of starter did you use? And two- It doesn't need to be a Killian's clone, but does...

    My Brewery Pics

If you're thinking about painting (I am a steelworker with much painting/coatings experience) and want something that will look good, I have a few suggestions. You look like you have a pretty extensive brewery so if you're willing to spend a little money, a two part epoxy paint will cure like...

    new habits wont die either

New to brewing, but ive made a few wines and ciders. And yes, I am from the middle of nowhere compared to most in this site. We dont get much up here in Maine for good booze (Shipyard, Sea Dog, and Gritty McDuff's are the only micros around with Woodchuck being the only cider up here...

    My Cheap @$$ apple cider

I'm new to this site/forum and fairly new to making ciders, I've only watched my bro turn empty carboys into magical cider. I don't have anything for carbonating yet but I would like something to... uh... sample while my first serious batch is being made. Question one is would this be a good...
