To other people I mean. I know the taste and love it, but I was trying to describe my latest Saison to someone at work and when I mentioned funk, he just about recoiled in disgust.

Been on a saison kick lately, going to brew this on Monday (Labor Day).

Kegged it yesterday, came in exactly 1.0 and the hydrometer sample tasted awesome.:mug:

Looks like a good recipe as the weather warms up here in TX. My house doesn't get below 76 in the summer. Is the acid malt solely for PH adjustment based on your water profile, or is it a flavor component as well?

I just did this because I wanted the cider to have some more time but needed the carboy available. Just be sure to bleed off the excess CO2 once and a while since there will still be a little fermentation going on and very little air space in the keg, don't want it to be too carbonated. It...

One of the best all purpose beers I have ever tasted. This is now a standard brew to have on tap. My wife who does not usually like beer loves this stuff, so that should be a huge endorsement. :mug:

Going to do this one again Friday with fresh S-05 and Maris Otter instead of GP ( it was cheaper so why not give it a try?).

Sorry, forgot to update. Very crisp and refreshing, love the Golden Promise. The only reason it looks cloudy in the pic is due to condensate on the glass, very clear. Can't wait to do this one again with some fresh S05.

Starting this one now, should be a good gateway beer for some of the folks at work. :mug:

Kegged it yesterday, hydrometer had it down to 1.004! Based on the warm hydrometer sample taste test, I can tell that this one won't last long once it is cold and carbed up. :mug:

Well, I brewed the all grain version yesterday. Came in kind of low at 1.044 for 5 gal, but I was about 1/4 lb short on GP so we'll see. Also, I forgot the S-05 at the home brew store so it's on some harvested Nottingham I had. Can't wait to try it out! :)
