    the real issue is that i dont own a drill and I'm too cheap to shell out the $ for one. Anyone know if the 6.5 gal lids are the same size as 5 gal bucket lids? If so Ill just buy some of those online.

    Did some reading and realized that the sugars are necessary for the hops to do their thing and ended up doing what CarboyBoy said. Thanks to you both, first batch came out a sucess! Enjoying a nice Honey Cream Ale atm. :mug:
