Need advice attaching drip trays to Keezer

That looks great and I would have been able to use a much less expensive surface mount. Might switch to this long term.

Need advice attaching drip trays to Keezer

Nice the paper towel holders are a great idea. How do you have the magnets fastened to the tray? Do you just put one on each side to hold each other and inside one sticks to fridge? So simple!

Need advice attaching drip trays to Keezer

Ha good eye on the card. The problem I am having is not the magnet sticking to the fridge it’s the magnets staying glued to the drip tray. I used to part metal epoxy which I thought would be the best thing but maybe I will try it with superglue.

Need advice attaching drip trays to Keezer

Need a little advice here, I have a Keezer I built, it has six taps that I drilled through a 2 x 4 collar. For drip tray, I didn’t want to spend the crazy money for a 22 inch drip tray so I bought two, 12 inch drip trays from Kegco, they are the wall mount version, see picture. To attach them...

Trying to clone Monday Night Blind Pirate

Good tips thanks. Yes we’ve had tons of it a house fav. Not hazy, copper color. IBUs are 55 so I thought I’d use the Columbus to get to about 50 IBU at 60 mins, then the rest of the hops for flavor, aroma and dry hop. I’m setup to whirlpool and have good results with that before, I usually chill...

Trying to clone Monday Night Blind Pirate

Anyone try to clone this? From their site (https://mondaynightbrewing.com/beers/blind-pirate/) I know the grain bill (but not %’s), the hops (but not schedule), ABV, and IBUs. Looking for some advice on these items and how to add the blood oranges. Thinking of taking 5 pounds of blood oranges...

    My Weldless Build Using Strut

Other thing is aluminum conducts heat VERY well. Would investigate how much of the rig would get hot. Would not want that extending past the top horizontal

    My Weldless Build Using Strut

Mine is steel and heavy. I can mange it over a threshold but it's a PITA. With two banjo burners, two pumps, keggle with Herms coil, etc, dropping weight would be welcomed. Just as hard is guiding it around on 4 wheels. Would be much easier to have handles on one end and a way to elevate it like...

How to remove acetaldehyde from Pilsner

I did! Started with distilled and added to it to make soft water for a Czech Pils. Used Bru'n water.

How to remove acetaldehyde from Pilsner

Posting this in Fermentation and Yeast as well, figure it's a common topic people are interested in... I brewed a Czech Pilsner on April 15, OG 1.050. Used 2 packs of fresh Wyeast 2278 with a proper starter (used yeast calculator) on my stir plate, oxygenated with O2 before pitching as...

How to remove acetaldehyde from Pilsner

Well what do you know, I tasted this on Friday (today is Monday) and had huge green apple smell and taste. Just tasted again and it's dissipated a LOT, still there a little but now it's something I would serve at least! Hoping over the next 12 days it will clean up more. I do have it at about...

How to remove acetaldehyde from Pilsner

I brewed a Czech Pilsner on April 15, OG 1.050. Used 2 packs of fresh Wyeast 2278 with a proper starter (used yeast calculator) on my stir plate, oxygenated with O2 before pitching as always. Had a strong fermentation at 50 F, on 6/27 I moved it to 68 F for diacetal rest for 3 days, it was...

Beer Smith Settings for SS Brewtech Mash Tun

Well I ended up preheating by transferring the 4.5 gallons of strike water over, held for 10 mins, transferred back to HLT then back again. Strike water was 168 and I hit 156 in the mash, was shooting for 155 so good. Overall the volumes worked out, I was a even a tad under in by boil kettle.

Beer Smith Settings for SS Brewtech Mash Tun

Cool thanks. I tested though and there is 6 cups of water below the false bottom that won't be in contact w the grain so I'm using .375 gallons for the tun dead space. This way I'll have the right grain to water ratio. But yeah I get it, will be 100% drained. Main issue I'm having is I set the...

Beer Smith Settings for SS Brewtech Mash Tun

My SS Brewtech 10 gallon mash tun just arrived and planning on doing a couple batches this weekend in it. I was wondering if anyone is using this mash tun along with Beer Smith and if so, what setting do you use in the equipment profile?
