American IPA Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA Clone

Dry hopping is exactly as it sounds. Once you cool your wort, pitch your yeast and fermentation has taken place (2 wks avg) you add your dry hops to the then beer for a min of 2 wks or as long as you feel needed to have the hops extract a better nose and bitter taste to the beer. If you rack to...

    Mr. Beer.......?

I still use the mr beer fermenter. I have two. Makes 2 cases of beer. I still use partial grain kits. Advantage of mr beer fermenters is space and yeast dumps into a bottom holder. No racking needed. Just my two cents. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Honey wheat 10%

Thanks everyone for the advice. How long would you guys say would be an appropriate time to age before drinking. I know longer the better but im being realistic my dry mouth will not let it go forever. ;)

    Honey wheat 10%

Just finished brewing a Bavarian wheat with 8 pnds of honey. Hydrometer shows 1.091 og. Potential for a 10% apv. Wondering if anyone else has had a honey wheat this strong and will the apv overtake the taste?

    Bung fell into Wert?

I take it you have been in rhis situation before beergolf? And the bung was sitting in san star before use for over an hour. I was just worried about noticeable rubber off taste. Handing some of this ipa to some coworkers for christmas. Thanks guys.

    Bung fell into Wert?

    >:( I guess I pushed my bung a little too much into my carboy hole and it sucked it into the wert. Has anyone ever had this happen before and if so does it effect fermentation or taste in your brew? Also, How the hell do I get it back out now? LOL!

    Midwest Irish Red fermintation?

This was my first brew too. Four brews ago. Your fg is fine trust me. It will result in over 5 apv. Og should have been between 4 and 5. I moved mine to the secondary after a week. In retro may should have left in primary and extra week. Bottled and left for two weeks and i am on my last 4...

    Need Advice from Seasoned Brewers

Just an update on this ale. I repitched 2 7oz coopers brewers yeast. The yeasties went ape ****. I had to make a blowoff tube to get through primary fermentation. Racked to secondary and just bottled this weekend. Sampled before bottling and this is superb. I cant wait to savor my first bottle...
