Looks like most of the stuff has been accounted for, thus I am taking down the ad. There will still probably be the bottling buckets with spigots available, and I am thinking of selling two of my glass carboys. I will notify you all when I do. thanks Paulbill

How much priming sugar in keg?

I have just started testing out natural carbing in the keg. With force carbing it takes at least a week for it to force carb in the kegerator. Since I am only set up for one keg in the kegerator, that means a week without beer! I brew 10 gallon batches, and try to keep all my kegs (10 kegs)...

    Brewmasters Warehouse

Just made my first order! You have a great selection of dry yeasts! it seems the some of the LHBS around here (B3) are out of quite a bit of good dry yeast. So I decided to stock up. With the amount that I bought, the shipping was only an extra 20 cents per package! Thanks Paulbill

How many primarys do you have?

four 6.5 gallon carboys ( I do 10 gal batches, so this is two batches) four 5 gallon carboys for secondary's, which I do not use as I only use the primary's and then keg. 10 corny kegs which equals 5 batches. Paulbill

    Distilling Conditioner (defoaming agent)

Hi All, Has anyone used this before for home brewing? It is made by stillspirits. I got it at my LHBS when asking him about boilover when doing my 10gall batches in my 15gal boil kettle. He says he uses it with great results. He does not have fermcap. the label ingredients state...

    16lbs DME, how much yeast?

I am brewing up a 10 gallon batch of a wheat IPA, split into 2 carboys. I am using 16lbs of wheat DME. I am going to be using dry yeast, US-05. Will one packet per carboy be enough, given the high OG (estimated @ 1.066)? Thanks in advance. Paulbill

Steeping Grains- What to do with the dust?

Hi All, When getting the grains ready for steeping, depending on the crush, there always seems to be a fair amount of dust that escapes from the grain bag into the bottom of the bowl/container the bag is resting in. Should I go ahead and add this goodness to the boil kettle? That is what...

When to add honey to boil?

Freezeblade, thanks for the link. Interesting reading. So basically it comes down to two options (for me). 1. Add at flame out. Boiling not needed. But, in both cases, might lose some of the honey aroma/flavor, but hopefully not as much when adding at flame out. 2. Add into primary once...

When to add honey to boil?

Hi All, I am brewing a Honey Ale kit from B3 this weekend. I contains 4lb of LME and 3lbs of Honey. The directions for the brew are generic directions packaged with every kit and does not state when to add the honey. I do full 60 min boils. My question is, do I add the Honey with the...

twisting dip tube when tightening keg post

Hi all, Question for the more experienced with their kegs. On some of my kegs, when I tighten the out keg post, the dip tube will tend to twist as I tighten the last few turns. This then in turn causes the bottom of the dip tube to catch and scratch along the bottom of the keg and...
