    partial mash... rinsing grains

    I am doing partial mash... I did the grain in bag in 154 degree water for 45 minutes... Heated up sparge water to 168 degrees, plan on doing the tea bag method. Will I get better results if I rinse my grains with the sparge water from the tea bag pot??

    Pin lock gas connection leaks...

    Gas connection on pin lock leaks, if I position the connection just right it stops, but if it gets bumped it'll leak co2... Using a new o ring kit and brand new connector.... Any suggestions? Maybe find a thicker o ring for a tighter connection?

    Keg or bottle....

    I have a black ale that is ready to be bottled. My keezer will be done in a week or 2. I would just assume keg it, but I have no regulator or co2. Is it bad to let it sit in the keg without co2? I could let it sit in fermenter longer, but I dry hopped it and just assume get it out.

    Pittched Wyeast... No action 36 hrs later.

    I brewed an AHS Belgium Wheat, pitched Wyeast Belgium Wheat 3942. I brewed everything per instructions. Brew is not making any signs of yeast working 36 hrs later. What should I do? I smacked the pack, but it didn't inflate like past packs have. It did inflate a little. I read through the...

    Sanitizing bottles....

    Is it really necessary to wash bottles with soap/oxi clean and water, or can I just rinse them in my sanitizer before bottling? I always do a good rinse when they are empty... Just looking for a faster way to bottle my brew... Don't say to keg, I already know that's the fastest... Lol

    Adding oak and bourbon...

    I need to add some oak and bourbon to my porter in the secondary. I plan on soaking the chips in bourbon for a couple days and placing in the secondary for a week. Do I need to sanitize the chips first or will the bourbon kill any bacteria? I was just gonna sanitize a jar fill with the chips...

    FG Bourbon Barrel Porter

    Brewed some Northern Brewer's Bourbon Barrel Porter... Just got done racking to the secondary, OG was 1.068 and finish at 1.020... The FG seems a little high yet, is this normal range for this kit??? Am I still ok?? Thanks

    Sample for the hydrometer.

    Looking to get a sample from primary for the hydrometer, I just sanitize my thief, pull the lid and dip? I've heard horror stories about infecting beer.

    Wyeast... how to add.

    I am brewing a batch of Caribou Slobber, usin liquid Wyeast... When I add the yeast, do I dump it and stir or dump it in and leave it?
