    Yes, not finished yet. But it will be awesome when we are done with it. Im sure it will work out great. Im not that dumb to not do some stress test on if first before we brew on it.

    pretty sure the weight will be fine. we added braces to the back of it to be sure, but of course there is only one way to tell and thats brew :) not sure what size of steel it is but it seems pretty robust. it was all free, so if it breaks, then we will make something better. just a fun...

    BB Oktoberfest Problems

    me and my buddy made this same oktoberfest. same recipe. we used a different yeast than the one in the recipe because we dont have any means to lager right now. but the fermentation process started very fast for our oktoberfest.

    No, i cant remember what we used exactly. I have it written down but it was a yeast that can ferment at like 68-74 degrees since we dont have a way right now to ferment it at a lower temp. We will soon though once we get everything built.

    The Picture of the beer in the glass is the porter we brewed. It was excellent. The other pics are of our Oktoberfest brewing and then in the carboy. Cant wait to try it. :mug:

    i dont think ill have any bottle bombs. of course i dunno how long it would take for them to burst but they have been sitting for 4 days so far with nothing bursting.

    also, is it normal for the white film (guessing yeast) to form at the bottom of the bottles? i noticed that the next day to see if any of my bottles blew up :) thanks again guys, you guys are a great help to us noobs :rockin:

    Im not sure what the final gravity was because when I brewed my first beer, i didnt realize i needed to take all those readings before and after. So im not sure :(

    Ok so im totally new to this and im pretty sure i just noobed it up after reading but anyways, i let my porter ferment at about 72 degrees for 7 days then i already bottled them and was going to keep them out of sight and mind for about 3 to 4 weeks. should i have put it in a secondary fermenter...
