Extract ...and instead of doing a secondary I went straight to the carboy and plan on leaving it in there for 3-4 weeks. I used a 6 gallon carboy and kinda eyeballed it for 5 gallon fill.. And stirred not well I'm sure, my long spoon wouldn't fit so I shook it a bit till the yeast started...

I've had this stuff blow an airlock and the top of a bucket off....I went to using tube to a pitcher of water...it's a massive mess if it blows...the ceiling in my kitchen will have to be re-painted. The wifey was pissed :-)

I brewed some Dunkelwiezen from true brew. Before I pitched the yeast my reading was 10.32. Instructions say I should be between 10.49--10.53. Do I worry about this? What could I have did wrong? What can you do to fix this before pitching? Thx in advance for your help

i brewed 2 beers a few weeks ago, a Kolsch with a FG of 1.010-1.013 and a smoked porter with a FG of 1.014-1.017. its been in the secondary for 7 days now and the FG for both are off by .002.....the kolsch is at 1.008 and the smoked porter is at 1.012....will it get any better sitting longer...

just tasted my second brew of Wheat and its pretty good...i used the Tru brew kits and made the Brown ale as my first and its all gone now ) i just brewed the Nut Brown ale today and i cant wait for that one....Tru Brew is working for me
