    Trois Pistoles

I brewed a high gravity AG clone of Trois Pistoles this past weekend from the recipe in Beer Captured. The directions called for an addition of yeast three days prior to bottling. I typically make a huge starter for my high graity beers and introduce a lot of oxygen. After a week in primary...

    Prickly Pear Mead

I find that the prickly pear tunas have a taste and texture of a fig and or strawberry. Just remember that they have some vicious small thorns on them and should be picked and prepared with care. I pick mine with bar-b-que tongs and burn off the thorns over my propane cooker. I have batch in...

    New To The Forum

I am a homebrewer from coastal Georgia and have been brewing for years. I joined the forum after my son, whom I introduced to brewing several years ago, told me about it. I really joined to find the answer to a question about a Cherry Porter. I have never brewed a fruit beer and have a Porter...

    pumpkin in my beer

I have brewed a recipe similar to what you are describing with fresh pumpkin. I cut the meat from a medium sized pumpkin into golf ball size chunks and baked it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes and added it to my boil. It worked well.

    Cherry porter

I am new to the forum and am in need of advise. I brewed a porter 8 days ago and want to rack it to secondary with the addition of cherry concentrate. The concentrate that I am adding is 100% pure organic cherry concentrate with no preservatives. The concentrate is in 16 ounce bottles and...
