    Will they come back

I planted some rhizomes at the beginning of the season. I live in a hot climate so I didn't know what to expect. I believe because of the heat wave (which it got up to 118f) the hop plants vines have died. My question is: if I keep the roots watered will they come back next year?

For light to ale the experts say 0-50, for amber to brown 50-150 and for dark beers 150+. My question is, is it residual alkalinity that you want in those ranges or is it the the...

    American wheat and yeast question

If you want to stay within style you wont want to use 3638. But I say screw following styles. If you would like a bannan/clove in your beer then do it. The great thing about homebrewing is that you can make something that not everyone can get. Being a Newbie, One thing to think about is if...

    Quick ferm with chocalate

I've done two chocolate beers, a stout using wyeasts Irish ale and a lager with wyeasts bohemian lager. Both beers are the same recipe except for the yeast. Both have a sg of 1.060. The one with Irish ale finished high around 1.022. I mashed at 156 F. The primary fermentation (high activity)...

Heres a diagram that I bastardized from one of PJ's diagrams.I want a really simple system thats controlled by a Auber PID. The 220V 30A outlet that I'm going to be using is in my garage. Its for a welder. The outlet only has three prongs. So I hope I modified the diagram correctly. For...

    Question for PJ

I'm planning on following this diagram you posted. The thread I got this diagram from also had a order list. On the parts list there switchs but no contactors. Are contactors needed?

What is the point of the timer?

Sorry, I was talking about a multifunction timer for a controller. Like the one from auberins.com

What is the point of the timer?

What is the reason for using a timer? I have noticed that most of the people's setup use timers. I can't think of a reason I would need a timer for a single vessel system.
