Keezer question- do I need a secondary regulator?

Depends what types of beer you drink and how important it is to have different pressures. I don't care too much about running different pressures and just use a standard distribution block. If you have several different styles of beer at once it may be worth adjusting each separately?

    Lid Question for No-Collar Keezer

I think people use a plywood top so they aren't ruining the freezer top in case they want to ever turn it back into a freezer again.

Forced air fridge conversion instead of chill plate?

Tired of my chill plate modified kegerator box, it it possible to dismantle any types of old fridges to grab the cooling unit and use it? I'm assuming this is rather difficult as I don't recall seeing anyone doing this off the top of my head.

Chill plate freezing, why and what to do?

It seems the fan pointed towards the chill plate make it worse? Am I nuts or could this be the case?

Chill plate freezing, why and what to do?

It's a edgestar kegerator that I enlarged with two layers of insulation board. I'm concerned the door may not be 100% sealing possibly allowing too much humidity into the unit? Just ordered a little silica bead rechargeable dehumidifier from Amazon to see if that helps,

Chill plate freezing, why and what to do?

The chill plate in my expanded kegerator is a block of ice. Is this from running too long, box not 100% sealed, both? Only keeping unit at 42F with a stc-1000. What do I do, just unplug for an hour and let it melt into a towel then just plug back in?

8 cases of pop top bottles and swing tops in Ephrata area

Looking to get rid of a ton of bottles as I've been out of the homebrew scene for a few months and was kegging before that anyway. I have 8 cases of assorted pop tops bottles ranging from home brew bottles to dogfish and Sam Adams to assorted misc. most have either no label or a homemade...

Best set points for STC-1000 to minimize cycle times on large fridge?

Wouldn't it take a really long time for the keg to warm up a degree or two then require the compressor to run for really long to cool the air and then begin to cool the keg again?

Best set points for STC-1000 to minimize cycle times on large fridge?

I expanded the cooling area by nearly 2X on my edgestar kegerator. I can't seem to figure out the best setting to limit compressor cycles and keep the beer at a steady temp. I found out hanging the probe is not the best, kicks on/off when you open the door etc and when the fans on it REALLY...

Kegerator running for hours off for 20-30 minutes

I didn't realize this was on there...difficult to see now due to how it's build in the bar but I'll see if I can reach my phone in and snap a pic!

Perlick 630ss tap part too loose?

I did tighten the bonnet but it doesn't seem to make a difference? I really don't like the feel of these and how a strong breeze would open the tap!

Kegerator running for hours off for 20-30 minutes

How much does the temp vary? So it cools to 6.5 then kicks back on at what temp?

Kegerator running for hours off for 20-30 minutes

First off I realize I about doubled the size of the kegerator but I've read lots of others doing the same and it seems their cycles are not on 3x off 1x. I double wall insulated the inside with cabinet with 3/4 foil faced foam board from lowes, taped and caulked all joints. I added a fan at...

Perlick 630ss tap part too loose?

Have a few 525's and just purchased some 630's that haven't been hooked up to kegs yet. The top part that screws to a tap handle seem super easy to open and close. When I have a tap handle on I can barely touch it and it rocks open. My 525's don't open and close near this easy and I can't...

Safe to drill top of edgestar kegerator?

Got a few year old edgestar kegerator that. I need to cute a 2.5" hole in the top to move the tower location to fit it under my bar. I'm thinking I'm safe to drill/cut the top as the cooling plate is in the back? Thanks Chris Sent from my iPad using Home Brew

Removing cooling plate from kegerator to cool custom size keg box?

Unfortunately I can't do a collar as it's under my bar and won't fit that way. Perhaps I could put the kegerator under the bar sideways and build out a foam addition and mount the door facing forward? This way I wouldn't need to take the fridge apart and I'd have additional space.

Removing cooling plate from kegerator to cool custom size keg box?

I have a edgestar kegerator a friend gave me but unfortunately it will not hold a tall 1/4 and a cornie. I was thinking of building a custom sized keg box under the bar and line it with insulation foam boards from one of the big box stores. My concern is the cooling plate/compressor will only...

    Kölsch Bee Cave Brewery Kölsch

For some reason my last few BIAB batches have turned out less than stellar including this which I have made three times before successfully. I haven't brewed in 8 months and want to try again with this recipe. Is the extract version very similar to the all grain being that this is a fairly...

Only one model of Haier kegerator ever?

Been looking on craigslist for a Haier kegerator and finding some really good deals one units a few years old. Are these the same model as the new units? Reason I ask is the Haier is one if the biggest that will fit 3 cornies or 2 tall quarters, but I'd the older ones are smaller...? Sent...
