Air circulation for Keezer / ventilation

Hello! I've noticed condensation inside of my Keezer, and if it's held at a freezing temperature i get a big ring of ice at the top, I've been considering adding vent holes to the wooden collar and placing a computer fan to blow air outward, is this a viable solution, or should I look to a...

Brew stand gas manifold parts list! (I'm sure y'all have gotten this one before)

I'm assuming I would need a needle valve honestly, i've seen it both ways, but i'm having a hard time finding a 1/2 needle valve that isn't prohibitively expensive :-/ I guess I could do a reducer on either side of the valve?

Brew stand gas manifold parts list! (I'm sure y'all have gotten this one before)

hey guys, I wanted to lay out a parts list that I'm using for the gas manifold on my brew stand, to make sure that I didn't have any glaring issues that you guys could see (you know, so I don't blow myself up etc) so the plan thus far is: - 1/2 Black iron pipes for the main plumbing of the...

    Adding Adjunct sugar AFTER boil?

Thank you! I'll be sure to try and run it through beersmith at home, the problem is that the only information I really have about the wort I'll be receiving is that it's between 12-13 Plato, and 42 IBUS

    Adding Adjunct sugar AFTER boil?

Awesome!! that's a great Idea, I wasn't thinking about thinning it out myself but that would be pretty badass wort-hacking there, to save myself too much pain i might see if i can just start by adding in some extract etc first, but if those solutions don't seem idea I'm definitely stealing your...

    Adding Adjunct sugar AFTER boil?

yeah, I'm worried about drying it out TOO much, I've bee considering adding something like orange zest and cloves or something to add more interesting flavors to it, I don't want to just nuke the flavor from the wort entirely, but to actually answer your question, I'll be getting about 5 gallons

    Adding Adjunct sugar AFTER boil?

Hello all, So Our local brewery is doing a homebrew competition with their wort, I had the idea to basically add adjunct sugar after I receive the wort in order to make a Belgian strong-ish beer, and I have a couple of questions first off! Is this an awful Idea? It's sort of a lark...

Questions about adding orange zest/juice to mead

Hello! I'm planning on brewing up Bray's One-month mead, and i was hoping to give it an orange flavor to it, I'm going to be doing a 5 gallon batch, and I had a couple of questions. I was planning on adding the fruit to secondary for a relatively short amount of time (depending on what my...

    Mead in a Month?

Hello! I'm very, very new to Mead brewing, so new in fact that I've never done it before, and I had a quick question, is it possible to make a good mead in about/under 1 month? I'm sure this isn't ideal, but any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! -k
