    Finish gravity reading

All mine seem too high. I've made a dozen batches now and every time, my FG is around 1.016. Or, is that too high???? I know it would depend on style but I have an oktoberfest that is right there, I have a bock that is the same and I have an irish red that is the same too. Everything...

    Changing temperature while laggering

I only have 1 chest freezer to do my brewing in. Right now I have a dunkle laggering at 34 deg but would like to start another one. Would it be bad to raise the temp up to fermenting temps (55deg) and then take it back down again?

    Help with lager

I'm doing my first lager, a dunkle. After I pitch, do I slowly take it down to 45 deg or just throw it in with the fridge already at 45?

    Big honkin stout

Got a stout kit from northern brewer. What can I expect for a finish gravity? OG was 1.070 and the FG is 1.022. It was in the primary for 3 and there was no airlock activity for the last 4-5 days.

    Ahhhh advice needed quickly

I order the big honking stout kit from northern brewers and there are 2 1oz packs of hops but the instructions are screwed and it says add the columbus hops at 60 and add the columbus hops at 1 minute. Well, there's columbus pellet and there's summit pellet. Which do you think should be...

Aging in kegs.... CO2 or no

I'm just wondering if I should age in my kegs with the CO2 up to force carb levels or just enough to seal them disconnect it.

    Just kegged my first batch.

My first ever home brew (belgian wit) just hit the kegs. I have 2 of the 2.5 gal corny kegs. I'm going to sit one in storage for awhile but I just can't wait any longer. It's been 3 weeks and it's killing me. I'm going to force carbonate the one whilst shaking the **** out of it. I've heard...

Just posting to get rid of notice......

saying I didn't post yet:D Well, I talked about it for years and finally decided to do it. I know how I am with things so I knew it was going to take some $$$ cause I can't do things half assed. Got the first batch (belgian wit) in the primary for 6 days now. It already tastes good and it's...
