I just want to keg my beer...

Well I hardly have any money. I know at the place I work at the kegs cost $30. And the small 5gal kegs(ideal) cost the same. They are just skinnier. A CO2 tank is cheap. I just need to know the process so i can build my own setup. How do i force carb? How can I get the beer inside? Is...

I just want to keg my beer...

I am sick of bottling my beer. I drink it in my own home anyways so there isn't any point in doing it. Once I add the priming sugar, can I just somehow feed it into a keg and it will carbonate? Or is there a better method. Also, full kegs are like 15gal and my batches are 5. Do I make 3...

Glass carboy for internal reflux boiler for spirits?

I know this is a bit off topic. But instead of using a steel pot or keg for boiling, can I use my glass carboy? I am building an internal reflux still.

Any excellent recipes for tubo yeast?

I am sitting happy drinking my 2nd batch(newbie) which is an Irish Stout(a bit lighter i.e. more sugar). Anyways, I have some 24hr turbo super yeast sitting next to me. I was thinking of making a beer with about 15% alcohol. Are there any recipes that use this yeast? This is what I was...

I added like 3oz of hops to my 5gal batch of irish stout. a bit too much I should say. Is there anything I could add to the fermentation process/bottle to counter it? maybe honey i don't know.

Is it ok to drink some of your bottled beer before it clears?

I was suppsoed to keep mine bottled for 14 days. But after like 4 I have a couple bottles. It seems like all the yeast hasn't fallen. What was weird was that I had 4 bottles last night and in the middle of the night I couldn't sleep and felt like I was going crazy(while totally sober). lol

Is there anyway to avoid yeast sediemnt in beer bottles?

so does gelatin stop the yeast from settling to the bottom? I usually drink good commercial beers (guiness, blue moon, etc) from the bottle. What the hell do I know. Do those have yeast at the bottom too? I brewed my first beer with no added sugar. So I doubt there will be much sediment.

Is there anyway to avoid yeast sediemnt in beer bottles?

I know yeast settles to the bottom when it is primed and is being carbonated. Is there anyway to stop the yeast from falling like that. I want to be able to drink right out of the bottle just like commercial beer.

    Question about yeast sediment.

I have it fermenting in my glass carboy. Once it is done I will transfer it to my other plastic carboy that has a nozzle to fill the bottles with. What I now understand(thanks to all your help, everyone) is that I will leave the bottom yeast alone. But when the siphoning gets to the...

    Question about yeast sediment.

My first batch is currently fermenting in my carboy(been 1 day). I understand that the yeast will eventually settle to the bottom. After 2 weeks or so I have to prime it and whatnot. Do I mix the settled yeast back into the mix? Do i discard of it? What do I do with it? I can't seem to...
