    California Mill Valley CL posting

Hi, just saw this on CL and thought I would post here. This guy is selling a pico brewing system for 10 gallon batches for 1k. This is not mine, nor do I know the guy but it seems like a legit deal: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/for/3982528205.html

Love Controller 16B programming/issues output 1 always sending voltage to relay!

I have a Love 16B controller and no matter what I do there always seems to be voltage present on output 1 which is keeping my relay constantly fired. Any guidance or troubleshooting info anyone can pass along would be greatly appreciated as I'm not experienced with these PIDs

Home Super Brewery Build: Hybrid Electric/Gas 3BBL Build

Inspired by the fantastically overblown Bluto555, PsychoBrew 4 Kettle systems, and a 2BBL Stout electric system I was lucky enough to brew on. I had several design goals for this including small footprint (relatively speaking), portable (sort of), Hybrid heating capability, capability of...

    Sanke Keg Washer build

I've been thinking about this for awhile and recently divested my corny collection in favor of 1/6th BBL Sankes. Now I need to wash them and pulling the snap ring and spear every time in order to clean them is a pain in the you know what. I decided to do this in an inexpensive fashion and set...

California 10 Gallon kettle brand new in box

I accidentally (I know!) purchased three of these online and only need 2. The 3rd one is new in the box, never opened. It is a 10 gallon kettle fitted with 4, 1.5" TC fittings, and 1, 4" TC fitting. These can be used as brew kettles, stills, etc. I am actually using them to build a sanke keg...

California 1BBL Conical Fermenter Stainless Jacketed

40 Gallon conical fermenter, built mostly out of 1/4,3/8 and 1/2" stainless and weighing in at about 300 lbs. my best guess is that it was a turnkey extract brewery as it has a heat skirt (notice how it is heat discolored in the bottom pic). It holds pressure and had 3, 1/2" couplings welded on...

Recommendations for a tankless water heater

Hi, I do large batches (avg 20 gallons) and want to filter water through a tankless water heater that can provide on demand hot water (160 degrees) for mashing and hlt to shorten my brew day and hopefully double batch. Anyone have any suggestions for me? This will be dedicated for brewing in...

New way to control Pellet Hop gunk!

I've seen lots of hop spider builds but also lots of complaints. I ran across a vendor on ebay that focuses on stainless filters for things like biodiesel etc and I asked a lot of questions and he was very responsive and interested in these being utilized for beer brewing so he built me a...

    Crankandstein motorized super mill

I picked up a used crankanstein 3D from a fellow HBT member and as usual over did it on the end product! I have a buddy that was able to help me out with the aluminum and a local welder (I am only set up to weld mild steel) who majorly hooked me up. I will post more pics from start to finish...

    Dual Therminator Stand!

Looking around I couldn't find a good stand for my therminator and decided to build my own. As I tend to do, this is over-engineered and of course I had to add a second therminator for good measure. I utilized all stainless and ordered a couple of pieces from ebay and dug around for some...

DIY Glycol/Water Chiller for Jacketed or Coil Wrapped Fermenters

I recently lucked into a jacketed 1BBL fermenter on CL. It is built like a tank and needed some work (and vigorous cleaning). I added a blowoff and thermowell and decided to make it heated/cooled to maintain stable fermentation temp while living out in my sunny california garage. Initially...

Interesting find.... is it a brew kettle/fermenter combo?

I recently acquired this as a craigslist find. It is built like a tank and came with a propane burner. It is a jacketed 40 Gallon (1BBL) conical fermenter that holds pressure and is mostly made of 1/4" and 1/8" thick 304 Stainless Steel. From the discoloration on the bottom I can tell that...

    Tandem Therminator Plate Chillers

I am moving up to 20 gallon (and hopefully larger) batch sizes and want to be able to cool down the wort quickly to pitching temperature at the end of the boil. I also whirlpool and have been using a Therminator with 10 Gallon batches very successfully. I am thinking about hooking up the flow...
