How do I use fresh guava (and a couple other fresh fruits) for brewing?

Guava I would just cut into halves and let them rock and roll, but I would skin them first. Never made any with rhubarb before. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

How do I use fresh guava (and a couple other fresh fruits) for brewing?

Have you used fruit in the passes? First I would just wash the fruit very well. My experience using fruits takes roughly 1-2 months of infusion to be able to taste the fruit in the beer. As long as you wash the fruit thoroughly you have nothing to worry about, I mean it is going into alcohol...

    Low gravity

How much MD would I add for 5 gal? It's been sitting in the secondary for two weeks, so it's ready to be bottled. So would I boil and chill it, pour into bottling bucket then rack the beer on top? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Water help

My experience with RO water has not been good and I have had beer with RO water and it was not good. It makes the beer seem very soft on the palate and seem flat to me. I use a 50/50 mixture. 50 % tap vs 50 % filtered. I have great quality water from the tap here in northeast Texas. I just...

    Unpasteurized Porter

I think my definition of unpasteurized beer is way off. I thought unpasteurized beer is not boiled. You just pull your wort from steep grains and pitch your yeast without the boil... Am I wrong?

    Unpasteurized Porter

Well I boil my wort for 60 minutes. Isn't that considered pasteurizing the beer?

Funny after taste to all my homebrew

Rule of thumb, if you enjoy your tap water, you will like it in your beer. Also extract beer does taste different then AG beer. When making an AG porter or stout a typical water profile for it has a high bi carbonate level, such as smart water. Soft water is like a Figi water which is great with...

    2 weeks and no carbonation

I had problems with carbonation also. Once I poured my dextrose into my bottling bucket, I racked the beer on top. Then I slightly stirred the mixed to bring the sugars off the bottom to properly mix it. Very gentle stir!! Then bottled and everything was perfect. That could have happened. Just a...

    Cabonation screw up

So I made the rookie mistake last night. I bottled my beer, then put it in the refrigerator last night. Just now realized I screwed up. Is there anyway to save my beer from carbonating?
