Just brewed a Pliny clone Saturday. Kit from Austin pretty much matches up with the recipe in Glynn's post. (My 3rd all grain batch) SG was spot on. Double pitched Wyeast 1056 with a starter. Can't wait to sample this one.

I'd say it's time to get started and brew your first batch already. You've got way more stuff then I had when I brewed mine.

I would be concerned if it WAS making "dirt" on the side of your "tank". Relax and give it some more time. It can take up to 48 hours to show signs of an active fermentation. (FYI - that gunk is called Krausen)

Even if you did get your submission in in time, I wouldn't expect to see the glasses for a while. Promo's like these usually take a good deal of time to process and ship.

This is kind of shady to me. For those of us that completed the offer and received the "Your Glasses are on the way" message they should honor the offer and send us our glasses. It wasn't until after they discovered they took too many orders that they posted the "Hey, wait for an email to see if...

Got my email today too! Oh well, I'm not a fan of their beer and have plenty of good glasses to drink from so no big loss!

Not yet, going to be doing some remodeling to the basement which includes some additions to my brew space. (New cabinets so I have some storage space) Have the ingredients for my next brew and my current brew is about a week away from transfer to the keg so I have to hold off for a bit.

Here is the packaging, I've had no luck finding it on Wal-Marts website or on Amazon. I found it in the clearance bin so maybe it's a discontinued item but don't know for sure.

Found this cool insulated cover at Wal-Mart. Fits the standard plastic, round toy basket. 6 gallon Better Bottle fits perfectly along with a couple bottles of ice. Seems to work well as room temp is 75, temp inside dropped to 62. Top has a zippered hole so the neck of your carboy is sticking out...

Love Belize! Spent 4 days on Ambrigris, 2 on Caye Caulker and 4 in Placencia last November. Just love Caye Caulker and Placencia. Can't wait to go back next year. Pic is from Caye Caulker at the lizzard.
