    Ever try a Vodka/Hop Martini?

It's all about the gin, baby! Very interesting - I may have to run out and grab a few hops to try this with! /Vodka in a martini is sacrilege anyway...

Baseball Hall of Fame is lame...

You're srsly comparing the two? Great pitcher though, but I don't think HOF-worthy /love baseball, but some of the HOF stuff is a joke...

Tampa/Gainesville crew Florida. What do you think of world of Beer?

One in Gainesville may work. Stubbies downtown is similar, but extremely small and gets shoulder to shoulder crowded on busy nights. I do enjoy the atmosphere on slow nights or before the rush. I've never been to a WOB, so I can't comment on the place itself. I don't mind the yuppie factor, as...

    Worst beer I've ever had...

Sunset wheat is disgusting. Literally tastes like they did a "dry hop" with fruit loops. Wtf. Other disgusting beers I've had are SA Cranberry "lambic" and Magic Hat #9. Had to pour both of them out.

Corn on the Cobb + Crystal Hot Sauce

Texas Pete is closer to Crystal than Tabasco. I much prefer Crystal, seems to have a better flavor IMO. Texas Pete Louisiana style hot sauce is made in NC, btw. Weak. I'm just sad they moved the Crystal factory up the river after Katrina...

    Have a limoncello recipe?

Just bought a house a few months ago, and it came with some well-established muscadine vines as well as a lemon tree. The only sensible thing to do with lemons? Make some limoncello, of course! I have searched around a bunch and found some promising recipes, but does anyone have any tried and...

Anyone had the DFH Squall IPA?

I love it, definitely my favorite IPA offering from them. A bit hard to find around here, though.

Triple Hopped? Was I that drunk?

I miss the old ads. Remember "Real American Heroes?" Baller, it made me want to buy Bud before I was of age. Modern BMC advertising is weak.

    The Dilemna: Lager or Ale?

Lager it! Serve your ales warmer, anyway!

    Disappointed in Dogfish Head 120

My thoughts on 120 and DFH... I think most people buy it an expect a super hoppy monster - as they should; it's labeled as an IPA with a ton of hops. The problem is, it is not an "IPA" and it's not super hoppy. When I had my first bottle I was a bit disappointed, but after letting it warm up to...

    Year old Apelwein Notes

Pic doesn't work, but sounds amazing! I have a few bottles of 1.5 yr Apfelwein made with cote des blancs that came out too sour, perhaps it's mellowed with age now. I'll have to give it a shot!

Olives...don't know where else to put this

Once I get a place with a yard I'm going to grab a couple olive trees. Here is a good resource for a variety of curing processes: http://ucce.ucdavis.edu/files/filelibrary/2161/43024.pdf

    Gainesville, FL

Phrog, best place to go to is Stubbie's & Steins. Good food, and over 350+ beers to choose from. A bit pricey, but a wonderful selection. If you are going Thursday-Saturday, get there a bit early to get a table or a spot a the bar as it does get jam-packed. Not open Sun/Mon. Only a mile or two...
