    I guess I should of asked....what size of burners do people use when doing ten gallon batches and how long does it take to bring to a boil after mashing???

    ghetto brew setups?...

    I love looking at everyone's pictures on here... so I thought I'd post up all my ghetto junk... Here is my 110 dual element pot I made.... about to boil some lager in my garage... Here is my 4 tap kegerator with 4 ten gallon corny kegs.... the sprite tap usually has a low sugar...

    Flat beer

    Try to keep the beer at a stable temp, don't allow it to get warmer and colder throughout the 24hr day.... it will slow things down a lot.

    Getting the most out of grains

    Your mash temp was too low/therometer is broken???? your hydrometer is broken???? the grain product you bought is the wrong stuff or old or whatever??????

    Electirc brewing on 110 is it possible

    Dude.... thats SLOW. You should be able to get up to that temp in half the time.. or less... Try using a lid and and or insulate your brew kettle....

    if your using 13amps you really should step up to a 20amp breaker..

    I added two 20amp 110v breakers and added electrical outlets beside my panel and have a brew pot with two 1500 watt elements in it....no special controllers.....works amazing.. cost for everything was around $250... just another thought
