    Corny Keg Lids

dcbc: Looks similar, but I ordered the racetrack lid you have linked to. It doesn't fit. It's easier to distinguish them if you look at the bottom. If there are any straight edges, which I think you will see on your 10 gal. example, it's not the same lid I am trying to identify. Keg...

    Corny Keg Lids

Holy Brewmaster! That's quite a setup you have. The lid that I'm looking at is not a "conventional" racetrack. This is the bottom of a racetrack that I have: http://www.flickr.com/photos/wally_dad/12758116125/ The weird hybrid lid does not have the straight sides of the racetrack lid, but it...

    Corny Keg Lids

Well, looking at the keg it has "MFG by John Wood Co. St Paul MINN A67" near the bottom. At the top it has "Kist Bottling Co, Fall River MA Premium Model Liquid Carbonic. Division of General Dynamics 307930" Don't know if that helps. I can't find any other markings. I sent the lid to...

Not 100%, but pretty sure. I boiled the bags befor using them and did not notice anything. Maybe a chemical reaction of some kind? I'll watch and see if it gets any larger. I hope to bottle in a few days.

I'm afraid of that so I think I will hop it up using cascade hop tea and dry hop. Fingers crossed!

Hello out there in Beerland. I have never brewed before, but have always been interested. I found CraigTube and his review of the Coopers DIY kit finally convinced me to get off my butt and start. So I have the book (How To Brew), the kit, and a can of delicious (cough) Coopers "Lager" malt...
