    Add DME, sticks to bag!

After the initial pour of the DME from the bag I sit the bag aside with the stuck on remains for a couple of minutes cool. I then rub the bag between my palms. This will release most of the remaining DME.

Third time's a charm SNPA clone

Hi Scubby That is an interesting SNPA clone. SNPA is bittered with Perle and magnum and hit hard with late cascade additions. Cascade is a citrusy hop that one might describe as grapefruit. I'd guess this is the mysterious note you are getting. Btw, I just put down another SNPA clone myself...

    Thoughts on Brown Ale recipe?

The recipe looks good to me. Nice combo of malts. Your choice of hops and schedule is more American than English. If you are after some banana esters then ferment your brew a little on the warmer side. Maybe 70F (22C).

    pouring a home brew.

I use 650ml (24oz.) bottles so when pouring into a pint glass I pours the first glass clear and slow and then after a few sips it dump the rest in yeast and all. Both ways are great as long as the brew is a good one.

    German Mild?

Hey Gang, I thought I would update this one after the first samplings. It's been just over 2 months since I put it down (June 3). My work schedule is very busy at this time of year so after it finished fermenting I racked to a glass carboy and there it sat in the dark until I could get around...

Hi Bob, I see you're a little put out by that 6 pack slipping though your clutches.:D I also see your point about the Russian River (sounds like Rushing River to me)brewery not having to be from Russia. The fact remains though that Wes was trying to come up with a name that does make...
