i just added the dry hops for the flavoring hops part...still do a 60 minute boil???

8lbs pale extract 1/4 lb malto dextrin and this is what i did: 1oz nugget 1/2oz perle 1oz cascade it was supposed to be: 1oz nugget 60 min 1/2oz perle 15 min 1oz cascade 5 min please help? could i just turn this into a double IPA????

ok well just made a huge mistake, what happens if you add all the aroma hops (1oz) and the bittering hops at the very beginning of the boil???? :mad:

It's brew day and I'm doing an AHS IPA extract kit. Anyway it includes TWO 1oz bags of cascade hops one at 4.2% and the other at 6.0%...1oz is supposed to go in 5 minutes before the end for aroma and another 0.5oz is supposed to go into the secondary (dry hopping) does it matter which one goes...

I would like to try and do a starter this time around, but I only have LME with the kit I got from AHS. How do I make a starter out of that? All the starters I've read about use DME. BTW I'm using White Labs California Ale. Also could I just do the starter in the 6.5gal primary or is that not...

I've always wondered this, but what is the difference between BL and NL? they're both brewed by the same brewery (I believe) but there is a major difference in price why???????? and they taste very different....why?

Is it normal for the air lock to still be bubbling every 20 seconds on the primary for a wheat brew on the 15th day?

another question: I'm currently doing a single stage fermentation process, how long should I leave it in the fermenter before I rack? the guy at my local shop said 7-10 days, but the a book I read says 2-3 weeks? what are your thoughts?
