    Plastic Containers

    Yeah I'd probably stay away from soda bottles. I actually used a 5 gallon regular water bottle last year for wine. Ended up somehow seeping my wine out from the seam at the bottom of the bottle. Won't do that again.

    Not sure about that ananon...the new plastic containers that are out for specifically aging wine...Flextanks...which mimic oak barrels with microoxygenation...seem to be getting popular with the smaller wineries.

    Norton Grape Cluster Experiment, I need feedback

    Ok so here's what I'm thinking about doing...I'm in the south, Louisiana, and I've got some 3 year old Norton vines...five of them. Last year they actually produced a total of 32 pounds of grapes and I ended up with two gallons of wine...not bad considering they shouldn't really have produced...

    Hey guys...just joined this site and thought I'd chime in. A more precise method that I've found for back sweetening is by using your hydrometer. Pull some wine out and dissolve a small amount of sugar (I don't use water because that dilutes my wine too much) then pour that back in and stir...
