    Paintball CO2 froze, blew out...

It's the o-ring. Well, really it's the tank adapter . . . I have a similar setup and had a similar problem. The adapter is machined slightly too large and the teflon o-ring will not seal properly, starts leaking and then blows out. Go to a parts store and get some black rubber o-rings that are...

Another Paintball CO2 tank adapter question...

I have this adapter: http://www.homebrewing.org/The-Adapter-CO2-regulator-to-Paintball-Tank-Adapter_p_1122.html It works fairly well, except mine was machined a little large and the normal Teflon o ring would not seal. I had to change to a larger o ring, Also - the paint ball tanks have to be...

How long does a WING CAPPER last?

The red one I had blew up in the middle of the 3rd or 4th case. Quickly borrowed a bench capper from a friend - bought a bench capper - still not sure I trust that red plastic. I'd really like to have something substantial . . . -Steve

    Restart fermentation to finish off

Brewed up a batch of pale ale a few weeks ago. Hit all my numbers going in. Mash temp - 154, volume was right on, OG was 1.062. Just a s predicted by Beer Smith. Made a big 1056 starter, split between 2 fermenters. It kicked off quickly. Only issue was fermenter temperature - had a...

    Old starter lifespan?

From Wyeast 1056 smackpac I made a starter back in the late winter. I crashed it and saved a little of the wort and about 1" of yeast in a pint jar in the fridge. Then did it again a few weeks later . . . made good beers with the starters. I still have a jar of that 1056 and need to brew again...

    Help with Saisson

Mine has been sitting in the secondary for about 4 weeks now . . . ready to bottle. Going to try to do that tomorrow night . . . OG was about 1.056, FG is about 1.009 . . . How much sugar (cups per gallon) should I use to prime? Will there be enough yeast left to carbonate? Thanks in...

    Reusing Yeast?

I guess that's what I'm checking on. I've got a fairly thick layer (about 3/4 inch thick) in the bottom of the carboy after 7 days. Transfered fairly clean from the primary after 5 days (due to a bunch of hops and trub being put in from the boil pot) I'm going to bottle in the next...
