    Maryland homebrew clubs?

This is a good idea, but I wont be able to participate until May. I am going for my EE degree at night while working as a drafter during the day. I run the old igloo 5gallon setup for all grain, and I am up for getting a club started.

Dip tube is stuck, and poppets on Firestone kegs are jerks. Help?

That's is what I was saying is the poppets are not interchangeable I don't have the tube problems. Reasearch online says poppets are interchangeable but mine leak unless they are put back on the valve they came from. That's why I figured buying a new set of ball lock valves would fix my problem.

Dip tube is stuck, and poppets on Firestone kegs are jerks. Help?

I also have a Firestone keg that the poppets are a pita. In fact you can't interchange them or the gas side leaks the purging co2 back out. I was planning on just replacing them with new ones. Is this a common Firestone issue I hadn't read about?

    First time brewer question

Always siphon after fermentation gas started. Your going to cause oxidation if you just pour. You want to oxygenate for yeast health when you add the yeast, but after fermentation has started oxygen is not your friend and can cause off flavors.

    Dry hopping ?

I have bought into the no longer using a secondary except for fruit and things, but dry hopping to me is just easier in the primary.

    Dry hopping ?

You can dry hop in your primary. Rule of thumb is make sure fermentation is complete before doing so.

First time brewer - Coopers DIY beer kit

I got the same kit for christmas. I don't think the beer is more than 4% avb. Did you take hydrometer readings? Were they stable over a couple days? 3 weeks in bottle is a pretty standard rule of thumb. The directions that come with the kit are not great. Hbt and youtube are your friend right...
