    Saw a sad sight today...

I was delivering a load of can ends to a Coca Cola plant today. They had what looked to be enough corny kegs to fill five 53 foot trailers solid! They were just sitting out in the open on skids wrapped up with stretch wrap... They wouldn't let me have any... What a bummer. :(

    Altbier...

Just ordered a German Altbier extract kit from northern brewer. The description sure sounded good! Has anyone else brewed this beer and how did it turn out for you?

    General question on a porter...

So I'm drinking my first porter... It's made by Tommyknocker Brewery and it's their cocoa porter. It's not bad, but what I'm wondering is, is it supposed to be flat? I got the "pfft" when I cracked it open, but that's about it. Other than that, it's pretty good!

    Question on boiling kettle.

Hey guys, currently I have an eight gallon aluminum stock pot for boiling wort. I'm thinking about putting one of those weldless ball valve kits on it. The valve kit is made of stainless steel. What I'm wondering is would there be a problem with dissimilar metals and where would be the best...

Slight dilemma on very first brew

Hey everyone, I think I might have made a slight mistake... I made up a batch of the brewers best kolsch kit. I did everything by the books with the boil part except that I used a little extra water in the pot. Then when I transferred the wort to the fermenter, all the sediment kinda went with...

    Smells

I'm just wondering if when I brew up my first batch of beer if it's going to stink up the place since I'll be doing it in the kitchen. I'm talking about like during the boiling and fermenting process. Thanks!

    New brewer

Hey everyone, I just got my Coopers diy beer kit delivered the other day. Really looking forward to getting started on it this weekend. Besides cleaning and sanitizing everything properly, does anyone have any hints or tips for getting through my first brew without a hitch? Thanks!
