    Show us your Kegerator

I used to work for an industrial safety company and we had them made to give away at a trade show several years ago. If anyone is interested, I could post a close up picture and I'm sure you could get one made up at Kinko's or something.

1st AG - missed SG by 8 points

I'm not sure if 8 points is something to worry about. I'm sure there's more knowledgeable folks here who could help more, but me personally I wouldn't worry about it. My first two AG batches, I missed my OG by 15-20 points!!! The beer still turned out really good. However, I might have left it...

    Aging/Conditioning Question

It's most likely a little 'green' still. 4 weeks for a stout is really pushing it. I'd give it another week or two and everything should mellow out. Usually, when I do a sout, it's two months minimum before I even think about drinking it. And at this point, I'd keep it cooler than fermentation...

    Recipe conversion-Can someone help?

I'm hoping someone here can help me out a little. I have a Summer Ale recipe I've been brewing that has bee really popular with visitors. I've recently started doing AG and I'd rreally prefer not to have to do an extract. If someone could convert this to AG for me, I'd be most appreciative...

    Root Beer N/A

Kind of curious about the Splenda thing myself.....I've made root beer for the kiddies, but SWMBO got me thinking about doing a diet soda just for kicks. Do you replace all the sugar with splenda or just a portion of it? smoke, I'd recomend sticking with a simple kit for the first time. Or...

    What a wonderful day

Just had to share with everyone... Had one of the best brew days of my life yesterday. Started about 11 yesterday morning by heating the mash water to do a Rapsberry Wheat (request from SWMBO). Everything went great. While I was mashing I also transferred my Blonde Ale to the secondary. The...

    Need Help!

Just wanted to chime in here....You said the beer tastes fine coming out of the fermenter, etc. It sounds to me that things seem to go south after bottling. How are you washing the bottles? When I do use bottles, I rinse them really good with hot water after pouring the beer. Then, before I use...

Why I need a strong man around....

I've never had a problem with a turkey baster reaching into a carboy. Not sure about how it works with the better bottles. I'm still using carboys and I would recommend anyone still using them to get one of these...
