I am adding sugar after a couple days in the primary. Do I need to stir the sugar (which I have boiled in water) into the beer and if so do I mix up the trub or avoid doing that ?

Do you always see activity in the airlock? I am on my third brew and have never seen activity but gravity is always on schedule. Am I using my airlock incorrectly?
Thanks for the replies. I didn't realize the gravity levels were as important back then so I don t have them but the 3 percent makes sense now. Do I have to use sterile or boiled water that I add to my wort? I usually just use filtered or filtered ice.
