    Honey wine?

    I started the mead with a friend, and his stopped bubbling a few days ago. Same recipe, but he put in some oranges. I was under the impression I need to wait for the bubbling to have around a 30 second gap to transfer to the glass carboy. Otherwise I'll transfer it tomorrow. Thanks everyone..

    Honey wine?

    Use started my first batch of honey wine, might be a mead, a few weeks ago. It's pretty potent now and I need to slow down the fermentation. Any suggestions? Thanks, James

    Have been reading and talking with others that brew about what water they use to brew. I have been told tap water is what one should use as long as its not really hard water. Others say spring water should be used. For My first batch (a Irish pale ale), I used my tap water and it turned out...

    How much do you drink?

    Just read an article about how beer, daily can be good for one's health. I'm guessing my intake exceeds the studies usage, but I'm going with it. My wife bought me the brewing kit so I drink less beer. I hope thats how it works...

    I started my first batch of brew just over a week ago and the bubbling has stopped. I got the brew kit from Midwest supply, a Irish red ale. It says to let ferment for 2 weeks, but not sure if the lack of bubbling means its done or what. It has been at a constant 67 degrees. To cool? Any...
