    To Prime (sugar) or Not? Kegging

    What Beer are you brewing at the minute? For ale and bitter,i use half a pint glass of table sugar, filled to the top with boiling water, let it cool and add it before siphoning.

    Ive just kegged up an English brown ale. 7 table/dessert spoons of table sugar in a pint glass, fill to an inch from top with boiling water, stir, let it cool, and add to keg before racking up. Mine turned out beautiful.

    Used the 2 can kit. Primary for 2.5 week, kegged it today. Problem is my gravity was 1.020. It stayed at this for a good 6 days without budging. Ive added my priming sugar and now leaving it for 2-3 week. Would it be ok now ive kegged it as this stage? Any ways to knock my gravity down, or...

    sorry meant to say 5 gal keg. with corn sugar and table sugar, should you use less table sugar as corn?

    I use 1/2 cup of table sugar in my keg, 2 weeks primary 2 weeks secondary. fermented excellent and all carbed up in keg. maybe you used too much. :confused:
